Today’s ‘voice’ comes to us by way of an amazing colon cancer ‘Survivor’, Jaimie Mattes. This is one of the most honest and powerful ‘voices’ you will ever hear in regards to someone opening up raw about their journey into ‘Survivorship’ before and after diagnosis. Jaimie doesn’t pull any punches and he tells his story in a way that really gives us deeper perspective on what ‘Survivorship’ is all about. We can’t thank him enough for sharing his ‘voice’ with the “Voices of Survivors Foundation” in the ‘Written Word’ today.

The “Voices of Survivors Foundation” is devoted to exploring what ‘Survivorship’ means to the individual ‘Survivor’, whether they are recently diagnosed, in-treatment or post-treatment, in a variety of documentary formats. Each ‘Survivor’ helps define what this means to not only themselves, but also gives insight to others who are on this journey as well, either as a ‘Survivor’ or a ‘Co-Survivor’.
